Wednesdays are for updates on the technical part. Be it pattern design, using tricky fabrics, how to optimize the quilt project, you name it, I’ll talk about it here.

I got a workplace in Almere with as assignment to turn a sustainable circular business out of the textiles people throw away. Somewhere in summer 2024 the assignment end and I have a profitable circular business and the people of Almere will have a plan to turn the textile waste into value.

This is one reason why I work on making quilting COOL, accessible and scalable. For me, scale is probably going to be about making cute soft toys that people get so much attached to, they won’t every buy another toy again! Or at least not overbuy… My dream is creating a social atelier where people who need a kind working environment can be, work, find meaning, heal and find connection to society.
